Realme’s insatiable appetite is expanding faster than anyone else’s, and it’s aiming squarely at Europe.

Realme has no intention of slowing down its rapid growth, which saw it become the world's fastest-growing 5G smartphone brand in the third quarter of last year.

Realme has no intention of slowing down its rapid growth, which saw it become the world’s fastest-growing 5G smartphone brand in the third quarter of last year. The same fantastic results were seen in the fourth quarter of 2021 (+165 percent compared to Q4 2020), illustrating how much clout this new brand is gaining on the market.

Realme’s goal is to “democratize 5G technology and services,” and the company has now climbed into the top five in Europe for the number of devices sold that are compatible with next-generation networks. These are the words of Counterpoint Research analyst Harmeet Singh Waila:

SINCE 2020, REALME HAS EXPANDED ITS 5G PRODUCT PORTFOLIO, FROM TWO SMARTPHONES IN EARLY 2020 TO 15 IN EARLY 2021, WHICH DOUBLED IN THE FOURTH QUARTER.

Shipments to Western Europe, particularly Italy, the United Kingdom, Spain, France, and Switzerland, account for a portion of Realme’s growth. The brand’s success is tied to the sales of the Realme 8 5G and the GT series (HERE is a review of the GT 2 Pro), and the Realme 9 5G is on its way to the Old Continent. “In 2021, Realme was the fastest growing brand in Europe, and it’s only getting stronger.” It debuted in June 2019 and soon gained traction thanks to its flagship killer strategy of selling high-end gadgets at low rates.” – Counterpoint Research’s Kan Stryjak

Realme is counting on the GT 2 and Pro variants to further enhance its position in Europe, especially Italy, and will shortly release the GT Neo 3 with its 150W recharge.
