With a better display, the Xiaomi Pad 6 Pro might challenge the iPad Pro.

Xiaomi Pad 6 series is reportedly in works. According to a recent report by XiaomiUI, the company is prepping to launch two Pad 6 models in 2023.

The company’s most recent Android tablet is the Xiaomi Pad 5. It has a lower starting price than the iPad 9th generation but is fully equipped to be an iPad contender in the Android world. It is actually my go-to pick for an Android tablet and is easily preferable to the iPad. It appears that Xiaomi intends to expand on the popularity of its Android tablet from 2022 in order to maintain the momentum until 2023.

The Xiaomi Pad 6 series is allegedly in development. Two Pad 6 variants are expected to be released by the business in 2023, according to a recent report by XiaomiUI. One of them might compete with the iPad, but the other might take on the iPad Air or perhaps the iPad Pro. In MIUI code, the Xiaomi Pad 6 and Pad 6 Pro have been discovered.

Is the Xiaomi Pad 6 Pro an iPad Pro competitor?

Starting with the Xiaomi Pad 6 Pro, it is claimed to include an AMOLED display and the codename “liuqin” with the model number M81. For comparison, the iPad Pro has a mini-LED display, and upcoming models are expected to go to OLED. AMOLED signifies that the tablet will have deeper blacks and higher contrast. Additionally, it might have a 1,880 x 2,880-pixel resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate.

The Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC, which is not the most recent Qualcomm mobile chip, may power the Xiaomi Pad 6 Pro. But compared to the Snapdragon 870 featured in the Xiaomi Pad 5 Pro, that is a significant upgrade. It is thus a respectable iPad Pro competition. While the latter is likely to have significantly greater power due to the M2 processor, the Android tablet may be able to multitask better due to MIUI’s support for multiple windows and window hover.

The Xiaomi Pad 6 Pro might have two cameras on the rear in terms of optics. A depth sensor is likely to be present alongside the main camera. Additionally, the front-facing camera is anticipated to be positioned along the horizontal side, which is preferable to the iPad Pro’s vertical placement of the selfie camera.

The Xiaomi Pad 6 Pro might contain a quad stereo speaker configuration for media purposes. Since the speakers on the Xiaomi Pad 5 were so good, I anticipate that the speakers would sound good based on previous experience. In light of this, the Pad 6 Pro is most likely a tablet available solely in China.

Bringing along a Xiaomi Pad 6

The Xiaomi Pad 6, often known as “pipa,” and with the model number M82, may be released alongside the Xiaomi Pad 6 Pro. The processor will be the primary area of distinction. The Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 SoC, which is more effective than the Snapdragon 860 processor used in the Xiaomi Pad 5, is expected to power the Pad 6.

Most likely, the Xiaomi Pad 6 will be available in all markets. It might be introduced in India and Europe. It might be interesting in the world of tablets if the tablet can compete with Apple’s 10th-generation iPad. Even though the Xiaomi Pad 6 probably has a better screen, most people are said to prefer the iPad 10th generation.
